A new design in Homespun Australia!
Autumn makes me think of winds and spiraling leaves, so when Homespun Australia asked me to do an autumnal design, I created these little hares, playing in the breeze. It was such a fun little stitch, which utilises 9 of the Bookshelf Edit Cottage Garden Threads, in gorgeous Fall tones.
I was lucky enough to be able to stitch it on 32-count ‘Russian Caramel’ by Nicola from Number12StitchCo on Etsy. ‘Russian Caramel’ is a rich, warm tone – one of my favourites – that perfectly sets off the beautiful Cottage Garden Threads.
If you’re in the mood for an autumnal stitch, the pattern is available for free in the April/May edition of Homespun Australia (available in newsagents and some supermarkets nationwide). For my lovely overseas stitchers – it will be available in my Etsy store when the magazine is off the shelves in June.
It’s a wonderful edition of Homespun Australia too – with a fabulous article on colour from Cottage Garden Threads, and a stunning embroidery project from Veronique Diligent, using her beautiful CGT Edit. I’m so grateful to be included in such company!
Thanks to Nicola from Number12StitchCo, I have a limited number of kits up on my Etsy store, and lots of threadpacks. I hope you enjoy this little stitch from the warmth of your stitchy-spot, watching the leaves blowing in the breeze.
